Hobbit House

About the Hobbit House

Photos do not do the Hobbit House justice! With a cozy cabin atmosphere, this warm space is located on the lower level of my home. Accessed through a private entrance, the living room, 2 bedrooms, reading nook, and bath are all yours!

The living area features a leather couch that seats 12 or sleeps 4 easily and a 75-inch TV with thousands of movie options. Name a movie and it’s on there! There is also an Xbox One with an elite controller. Put your feet up on the seven-foot-long redwood table and relax. Finally, take a long rest in a soft king size bed.

When you step outside the Hobbit House, the woodland realm location makes you feel as if you are out of town. In reality, you are half a mile from a lake, one mile from Lake Dardanelle State Park (check out the fishing tournaments!), and a mile from the movie theater and bowling alley. For the outdoorsy, there are three surrounding mountains to hike.

For local restaurant suggestions, just give me your area of interest and I will point you toward the best places - from the best fried rice to the best burger, BBQ, steak, Mexican, Italian, and more!

Sleeping Arrangements

There are a total of 4 beds and one long couch. King size in bedroom 1. Log queen and log bunk beds in room two. Large couch sleeps 4 people. Your private space is the whole lower level. There is a fenced area for pets in the back yard, but no pets are allowed in the house.

Special Notes

Anyone who books on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day will be sharing the space for those days only. I do have guests on those days and must be able to use the space also. You can join us - we would love to have you! It’s not just family, I invite anyone who needs a place to go.

It’s important to keep in mind the Hobbit House is a basement. At times you may hear people walking around on the upper level. Being the lower level of the home, there are no outside photos. The experience is inside, done in high quality and with lots of detail. Tolkien fans will absolutely love it!

I booked Michael's place extremely last minute for a wedding that we needed to come down earlier then expected for. He was so accommodating and a super-fast communicator. The place is so unique.

The stay here was magical, the decorations are on point and made the perfect backdrop to watch all of the extended LOTR editions while chatting with my polycule. We had an amazing time and highly recommend any LOTR fans check it out!

The Hobbit House was truly a wonderful experience. The owner, Michael, poured his heart and soul into creating this place, and it shows. Pictures do not do this place justice. It must be experienced in person to appreciate what he has created. Thank you Michael for sharing your imagination with us! It added another wonderful memory to the time we spent there for our daughter's wedding. Thanks Michael!
